The straightened paper clip with three blobs of Petroleum jelly was placed above the Electric burner covered with Aluminum foil, which was held by a clothes clip at the end of it. After few minutes, the three blobs of Petroleum jelly were slowly melted until it became a liquid. It is because the heat form the Electric burner was transferred to the Aluminum foil then to the paperclip and to the blobs of Petroleum jelly, since the paper clip is made up of metal it can easily conduct heat.
Conclusion:
Therefore, I conclude that the heat from electric burner that makes the blobs of Petroleum jelly melts is by the means of conduction.
